On the 16th and 17th of January 2017 the TraMOOC Consortium conducted successfully the M24 meeting in Athens, Greece where the progress performed after the M18 review meeting was presented to the consortium. The aim of the M24 project meeting was to review the progress of each WP and the activities planned up to the next project meeting in June 2017.
The highlights of this period include the initial integration of the Machine Translation systems in a real-live MOOC platform which proved the viability of the work performed within the project and the thorough comparison of phrase-based, syntax-based, and neural machine translation algorithms on MOOC-related test data. In terms of disseminating the important research results of the project, during the last months TraMOOC was present at the Translating Europe Forum 2016, the 11th International Workshop on Semantic and Social Media Adaptation and Personalization (SMAP 2016), the Languages and the Media 2016 and the 12th IFIP International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations (AIAI 2016).
